San Stae was tasked with transforming an anomalous patch of recreational space amidst a stark industrial city setting into a luscious haven for dining and relaxing.

Reclaimed scaffolding boards were laid to follow the trajectory of the angled walls, which in turn opened up opportunities in the corners for integrated and potted perennial planting. Scottish cobbles were added to add more visual texture and strategic uplighting was installed creating a dramatic evening ambience to be enjoyed all year round.

“Aly was fantastic from start to finish. She managed to create a singular vision from our two different tastes that we both loved equally. Communication was great from start to finish, we always knew what was needed from our end and what the next steps were.“

“Can’t wait to see the project come to life in summer and will definitely be using San Stae again for future projects.
